Position Brief
The Senior Consultant role is an important consulting position and involves focusing on post sales activities and occasional presales activities including presentations, proposal preparation, consulting, product training delivery and skill development mentoring. The role is a diverse and dynamic role that involves a combination of technical and software engineering aptitude combined with excellent customer relations skills.
He is expected to provide high-level development and technical assistance, design and architectural expertise in a post sales setting. To guide projects of various size and complexity. He should also demonstrate a high level of technical software engineering ability
The candidate should participate in all the phases of the software development lifecycle. He should assist with the establishment and maintenance of processes and standards to ensure consistent and best practice delivery of Professional Services.
The likely candidate would likely have worked with products from Rational or Telelogic or other development methodology tools.
Must have (No Exceptions)
- At least 7 years of industry experience in commercial development projects
- Strong Process experience in:
- Agile Methodology
- RUP or CMMI
- Expertise in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) as demonstrated by practical experience in Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK) subject areas such as :
- Software Requirements Management
- Design
- Construction, Testing and Maintenance
- Configuration Management
- Demonstrable knowledge in SWEBOK subject areas of:
- Software Engineering Management
- Tools and Methods
- Quality and Engineering Processes
Nice to have
- OO analysis and design skills and proficiency with Java and/or C++
- CORBA and .NET experience
- Ability to speak Mandarin
- FSI, Telco or manufacturing vertical domain experience
- Prior consulting experience
- Proven skills on UNIX platforms
