Our client is a leader in the enterprise software space. They are the leading providers of technology used to develop, deploy and integrate software applications. As business is booming they are looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to be based in Singapore.
The ideal candidate would typically have worked in product development, R & D or implementation consulting of Java and/or, C++ and Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools. The role involves providing support to customers in Asia Pacific on how to configure and troubleshoot UML tools.

Position: Senior Technical Support Engineer

Position Brief:
· The Senior Technical Support Engineer will play an important role in supporting customers in APAC who are using our client's development tools.
· The successful candidate is an eloquent individual who is comfortable speaking to the customers through telephone, email and the occasional onsite support. The candidate will have extensive experience with either Java or C++ AND must have experience in configuring UML tools such as Rational Rose. He must also clearly understand the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
· The candidate will provide technical support to customers and trouble shoot code, debug performance issues, run test scripts on UNIX and assist customers with problems at the various stages of the SDLC. At the same time, he will work with the R & D department to track and resolve product bugs.
· The ideal candidate will also have worked with tools that assist in the management of code and testing. Examples of these tools are Rational Rose and Mercury Interactive.
Prerequisites (No Exceptions)
- Minimum 5 years working experience on hands-on software development using Java or C++.
- Extensive management of UML tools such as Rational Rose. We are not looking for a mere user of Rational Rose. We are looking for an expert on UML tools.
- Must be based in Singapore now.
- Ability to run test scripts and work in a shell environment on UNIX platforms.
- Strong experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) management.
- Experience with tools from Rational, Mercury Interactive and Borland a strong plus.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent English speaking skills.
- Ability to start with 1 months notice.
- Currently be based in Singapore
Nice to Have:
- Prior Technical support or consulting experience.
- Ability to speak Mandarin
- Delphi or C# experience
